Captain Viswanathan Ramasamy is currently an Authorised Flying Instructor on the Boeing 787, and the Head of Flight Operations Safety, Security and Quality in Singapore Airlines. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from University College London, and a Master of Science (Aeronautics) from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

As a pilot he has logged more than 15,000 hours across both Airbus and Boeing aircraft, a testament to his dexterity and outstanding devotion to flight. In his role as a safety manager for a world class airline, Captain Viswanathan oversees safety procedures, risk assessments and safety promotion activities, maintaining a robust positive safety culture. Away from his demanding professional life, Visu, as he is known to family and friends, is passionate about coffee and enjoys power walking.
