Mr Choo Mun Fai

Vice President, Digital Innovation

Mr Choo Mun Fai is the Founding Co-Director of the SIA-NUS Digital Aviation Corporate Laboratory (Corp Lab) and Vice President of the Digital Innovation Lab, SIA. Mr Choo has made significant contributions to our Corp Lab providing valuable insights and advice towards its development and growth. Mr Choo pioneered the development of the various Corp Lab research projects, working with both SIA Business Units and NUS faculties, from their infancy to award and thereafter implementation.  He started the initial discussions with NUS and A*STAR on the Corp Lab project back in 2017.  

Under his leadership, the SIA-NUS Digital Aviation Corp Lab proposal was developed and went through many rounds of revision and scrutiny before A*STAR awarded the project in 2020.  He continued to see through the implementation stage of the Corp Lab to its current status.  Together, we would like to give our upmost appreciation to Mr Choo for his valuable contributions and effort made in building the lab together with us. 

Although he has relinquished his role as the Corp Lab Co-Director in September 2021, Mun Fai continues his contribution in his role as Co-Chair of the Management Committee and a member of the Executive Committee of the Corp Lab.

Mr Chan Mun Chung

Head of the Digital Innovation Lab (Technical Development & Engagement)

Mr. Chan Mun Chung served as the Co-Director of the SIA-NUS Digital Aviation Corporate Laboratory from 2021 to 2024 and is also the Head of the Digital Innovation Lab (Technical Development & Engagement) at Singapore Airlines (SIA). Throughout his tenure,. Mr Chan has been instrumental in fostering collaboration between SIA and NUS for the Corp Lab initiative. He played a crucial role in ensuring that the research aligns with SIA’s strategic priorities, working closely with various SIA Business Units to secure internal alignment. His efforts help bridge the gap between academic research and practical application, ensuring that the outcomes of the Corp Lab projects are both innovative and relevant to SIA’s business needs

Under his leadership, the Corporate Lab has achieved considerable advancements in its research and development initiatives. We would like to express our deepest appreciation to Mr. Chan for his invaluable contributions and dedicated efforts to the lab from 2021 to 2024
