On 16 June 2025, the Institute of Operations Research and Analytics (IORA) and the SIA‑NUS Digital Aviation Corporate Laboratory had the honour of hosting a delegation from Hainan Province, led by the Honourable Governor of Hainan.
The visit featured an opening briefing, where we provided a strategic overview of IORA’s ongoing collaborations—spanning partnerships with the Ministry of Health, Singapore Pools, and other key stakeholders. This was followed by an in-depth presentation of the Corporate Laboratory’s major research work:
The Governor and his delegation participated actively during the sessions, posing insightful questions and engaging with our research leads on topics ranging from pricing analytics and biometric wellness solutions to the integration of simulation-based training.
Following the presentations, we conducted a guided tour of the Corporate Laboratory’s immersive facilities, including the cabin and cockpit simulators, AR/VR setups, and live demonstrator pods—underscoring the breadth and practical relevance of our work.
